NEW DELHI - The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on the 2G spectrum controversy was distributed among members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of parliament Monday.

The PAC, headed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi, discussed the report.

The opposition is demanding setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the allocation of second generation airwaves, which is reported to have caused a major loss, though notional, to the government.

The members were of the opinion that their work can continue alongside the JPC.
