WALES (GaeaTimes.com)- Prince Williams of Wales and Kate Middleton got engaged on October when the couple went on a Holiday to Kenya, the Royal family announced the news to the media. Congratulatory messages have been pouring in after the news was announced officially to the media. The couple appeared on one of the reputed television shows where Prince Williams said that he proposed to Kate Middleton with his mother’s engagement ring.

The media outlets have reported that the oval shaped blue sapphire studded with 14 diamonds from all its sides is one of the most famous rings in the world. In 1981 Lady Diana Spencer chose it for herself and it cost 28,500 at that time. In his interview Prince Williams said that he had been carrying the ring around his rucksack for about three weeks and was waiting for the right time when he would propose Kate Middleton. He said that he kept a hold of the engagement ring everywhere he went as if it “disappeared” it would have been a lot of trouble for him as well as his family.

When asked about the engagement ring Prince Williams said that it is a “family ring” and it belonged to his mother. Prince Williams said that he chose this ring to propose Kate Middleton as he thought in this way he would be able to keep his mother close to the “fun and excitement” of his life. It seems that Prince William ensured blessings from her late mother through this engagement ring. He said that his mother was special to him and Kate Middleton too is an important part of his life and in this way he tried to “put the two” together.
