Raja asked to resign: DMK

CHENNAI - Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK party said Sunday night it had asked Communications and IT Minister A. Raja to resign from the cabinet so as to allow parliament to function normally,

The DMK said in a statement here that some opposition parties had been targeting Raja over the 2G spectrum controversy and stalled parliament proceedings.

The DMK said it had asked Raja to put in his papers so that parliament is able to function
