Allahabad High Court’s Ayodhya Verdict: Reactions Pouring In

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Since the three-member judge panel of the Allahabad High Court gave out the much-anticipated judgment in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, reactions of leader across political parties have been pouring in. The decision of the Allahabad High Court to divide the disputed property in Ayodhya among the three main petitioners with each party being bestowed with one-third part of the land, has managed to receive positive responses from the major political parties of the country.

While talking to the media, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javedekar noted that the judgment of the Allahabad High Court was indeed an ‘positive development’ while Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that the verdict had paved the way for building the Ram Temple at Ayodhya. At the same time, it has also been reported that the top leaders of BJP, which played a major role in the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, held a meeting later on Thursday to take vital decisions on the course of action in the matter that should be undertaken in the future. In the meanwhile, in a press conference that was arranged later, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati told reporters that the Centre has a major role to play when it comes to implementation of the verdict as well as maintaining peace and security across the state.

The Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid judgment has also been welcomed by the Congress party which emphasized that the verdict should not be considered to be a victory or defeat for any party. Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi told the media that the verdict delivered by the Allahabad High Court should be accepted by all.
