Obama to address Fortune’s powerful women summit

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama plans to speak next week at a “Most Powerful Women Summit” sponsored by Fortune magazine.

The White House says Obama will discuss the influence of women in business on the economy and steps the country can take to stay competitive over the long term.

The summit is scheduled for Oct. 5 at the Mellon Auditorium in Washington.
