Obama to sign veterans bill

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is signing a bill Wednesday that gives more help to veterans and their families.

The bill improves health care services for vets and will expand caregiver benefits and training.

The president also has meetings scheduled with Senators Jon Kyl and Orrin Hatch.

Obama will speak at a Cinco de Mayo (SINK’-oh deh MY’-oh) reception in the Rose Garden in the evening.

As a disabled American citizen, I know so many ways in which the “Caregiver” Law will assist those veterans in need of medical or mental health related needs that a Caregiver can assist with while helping to restore self confidence and independence which the disabled veteran surely felt they would not realize again. Caregivers are the answer and will assist as needed but show the veteran abilities and bring that confidence back. You will continually see our youth volunteer with these laws for our veterans.
