Talks have changed climate between India, Pakistan: Qureshi

THIMPHU - The talks between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani have changed the climate between the two countries, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said here Thursday.

“The outcome of the meeting has changed the climate between India and Pakistan,” Qureshi told reporters after the 50-minute meeting between the two leaders.

Manmohan Singh and Gilani have directed their foreign ministers and foreign secretaries to work out the modalities of restoring trust between the two countries to pave the way for substantive dialogue.

“It’s good news for the region. Let’s be happy with that,” said Qureshi.
